My name is Fabio Guaricci, a professional designer with over 17 years of experience. I started having ideas since I was a teenager, then crowning my dream and graduating in Design with honors at the Milan Polytechnic, where I am currently Contract Professor. I am also Creative Director of TOY Design, a design studio that works with some of the most important companies worldwide in the toy sector.
Thanks to the experiences I have lived, I can say that I know perfectly every technique of creating and selling ideas and being able to advise anyone who wishes to exploit this potential in every market.
I allow my students, even without a “designer” training, to learn how to sell ideas to companies with a personalized and simplified methodology, gaining motivation and confidence in proposing themselves to companies directly.
I have always had a passion for ideas and in this way I was able to create a wealth of information that over the years has grown more and more thanks to the numerous training courses in which I continue to participate. For these reasons, my students usually have an excellent experience of adapting to the method that I sew on them like a tailor.

WHAT IS TOY DESIGN ACADEMY
What I do is help people who, like you, are still at the beginning of this adventure to reach the prospect of becoming independent in proposing and earning from their ideas. So basically learning how to sell ideas to companies by becoming a professional in a short time thanks to a system for perfecting, validating, protecting and proposing them.
It is not yet another video course where you have to watch hours and hours of lessons passively, without having an exchange and remaining left to yourself. TOY Design Academy is an individual and personalized coaching path to learn how to sell ideas to companies, with scheduled video calls in which I will support you, teach you and explain the key concepts. WHAT ARE ROYALTIES
Royalties are sums of money that companies pay you in order to produce and market your idea. Unlike any employee or self-employment, it is considered a financial asset, a source of income that is not directly affected by your working hours, which grows over time, and which is transferable to your descendants.

HOW IT WORKS WITH ROYALTIES
Any job, whether dependent or self-employed, you need in order to have the monthly income that you need to pay your expenses. However, these revenues are always limited because they are regulated by the labor market, that is, by the value that the economic system is willing to recognize you.
Royalties generated by your ideas instead work for you in parallel with your day job, but above all they constantly create wealth in the medium and long term for you, your loved ones and become legacy for future generations.
WHAT KIND OF IDEAS YOU CAN SELL
Any idea that presupposes a physical product with its own reference market thanks to which to understand the originality of the idea, to be able to make it interesting / salable and to discover the companies that operate there in order to propose the idea to them in a professional way thanks to a proven method.

1. HOW TO MAKE YOUR IDEA A PRODUCT THAT COMPANIES WILL WANT TO BUY AT ALL COSTS
The first thing you need to be sure about is that your idea is one that companies want and are looking for. And this may seem trivial to you but I assure you that it is really essential if you want to sell the idea. For a simple reason, namely that IF the idea is one that allows companies to do business, you will find yourself managing a balanced relationship right from the start, in which you will not have to feel “small” compared to them. The convergence of your vision with their interests will allow you to dialogue in a WIN-WIN logic right from the start.
2. HOW TO VALIDATE YOUR IDEA AND SELECT THE RIGHT COMPANIES TO PITCH
Obviously, there is no idea that can be sold regardless of the market ecosystem in which it will be inserted. In order to sell it, therefore, you cannot fail to understand exactly who it will be for, what its niche will be, its price and what its degree of uniqueness is compared to what is already on sale. Underestimating this literally means wasting your time on perfectionisms that make you lose sight of the goal of selling.
3. WHICH MATERIAL YOU NEED TO PREPARE TO PRESENT YOUR IDEA
I know you would like to talk about your idea for hours and hours because you think it worthy of attention but the truth is that those on the other side probably have little time to dedicate to you. You have to imagine that that person easily has dozens if not hundreds of ideas to evaluate, so you need to know how to get straight to the point with a presentation strategy that gives the right information to intrigue them without being hermetic or forcing them to read long lines.
4. HOW TO PROTECT YOUR IDEA IN A LEGAL AND ECONOMIC WAY
If you want to sell your idea, you can’t ignore knowing how to legally protect it before starting to propose it. This is because you obviously want to prevent them from copying it in the first place. But there is another even more important reason that is linked to the first step: always remember that your relationships with companies must always be characterized by professionalism. And it is not really professional to propose an idea without having “patent pending” written in the footer. I’ll teach you how to legally and affordably protect it so that you can do it for multiple ideas at once.
5. WHO ARE THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO CONTACT AND HOW TO INTRODUCE YOUR IDEA IN A PROFESSIONAL WAY
Do you remember point 3? Here, you must come to the awareness that you cannot expect your interlocutor to immediately give you total availability. You have to get there a little at a time by making him understand, with the right phrases, that you are a professional and that you have respect for his/her time. But above all, you need to know which are the right people to contact within each company. Making a misjudgment on this could make your efforts in vain or worse endanger your idea.
6. HOW TO MANAGE THE NEGOTIATION OF THE ROYALTIES CONTRACT AND SELL THE IDEA
You don’t really want to come to this moment with the mood of someone who is begging someone to do them a favor. Nor does it lead to a potential conflict with who, in fact, should be your partner. You need to understand that, once again, what matters most is the quality of the relationship that you will be able to build from the first moment. Negotiation is a game in which all parties must win because that’s the only way your idea will become a product and can turn into Royalties for you.
